Mayor gives City honour to team

Advice Portsmouth Manager Annette Groves received the Freedom of the City of Portsmouth Certificate today on behalf of her colleagues. The certificate is to thank critical and volunteer workers for their support and sacrifices made during COVID-19. The certificate was given by Councillor Frank Jonas BEM, Lord Mayor of Portsmouth.

Also at the reception was Leader of the City Council, Gerald Vernon Jackson and the Chair of HIVE, Father Bon at a reception in Portsmouth on 21 March, 2022.

The Freedom of the City of Portsmouth was unanimously resolved at a Council meeting earlier in the month.

Annette Groves had this to say:

I am so proud of us, the Team, in receiving the Freedom of the City Of Portsmouth. I would like to say a huge thank you to the Team for all their hard work and dedication to the service and to our clients. I would also like to thank the Social Prescribing and Into Work Teams and a member of staff from Learning Disabilities services for their help and support with the Welfare Check in calls.
